I just picked up a 95 1500 4x4. it has a tired 5.2. is it worth my time to build it or better off to find a 5.9?

The 360 seems to respond a bit better to mods than the 318, but that doesn't mean the 318 isn't a good engine. Most people just go for more cubes.
Unless you're just going for a straight rebuild or rebuild and swap (for 360), anything you do performance wise you're likely going to need to get a Mopar Performance PCM for it to run right.

Thanks for the welcome and info. I,come from the Chevrolet camp where the 305 is near useless. I will probably mod the motor some. maybe I will just stay with the 318.

I agree. A 318 is a well built engine that will last a long time and hold up to a lot of abuse. I'm a GM guy as well as a mopar guy, and the 305's were ****. So were the pontiac 301's. The old school 307 however, was another story.

I just bought a 94 ram 1500 4x4 standard trans. It has a 318 that took a ****. Im
new to the engine swaps. So I was wondering will the 360 fit without any modifications? Will it work with the stock wiring harness and computer?

Yes it will fit. You'll need the 360 flexplate for the transmission and the 360 computer.
