Works in regular beds and ramboxes. FULL 3/4 thick. It's a horse mat or stall mat widely sold $50-$56 at Tractor Supply or Agri Supply stores.

At 6' long you just trim 5" to get to 5'7". This mat weighs 95 pounds so it's so durable it should last forever.

The one I bought has thick longitudinal grooves on one side and hundreds of rubber ***** bumps on the other.

If you are ok with no coverage in front and behind wheel wells it should work like a charm.

Sounds like a "soft" texture. Sounds like it would be hard to grab and slide anything heavy across it.

Unless I am wrong and it has a smooth surface.

Princess Auto is far away and in the East End of Ottawa.

We used to have a TSC in Kemptville, 15 minutes away but that was bought out by Peavey Mart. I thought I'd try them because they seem to be pretty similar to TSC.

I'll check the Peavey Mart that replaced our TSC in a week or two.

I'll also check online to see if they list anything like that.

Come to think of it, there are a few rural farm stores in the area, one of them must stock these pads.

Those Farm Stores or even Trailer Supply Stores should carry rubber mats

Many trailers are 6 foot wide by 8 foot long
A mat like that could be trimmed to cover the Ram bed completely

That's what I just bought....HEAVY and will likely never wear out. I put it on top of my Decked drawer system [found a used one for $600 to fit my Rambox Rebel]. I am putting trim on it today if the rain will stop to eliminate leaves and such getting in from the bed.

Check this out. 1/2” thick and only $68. Depending on the thickness, it can even get to $42. I don’t need it for anything other than keeping things from sliding. 8mm black 4’ wide by 6’ long. Can’t beat it

Your missing the boat here. On the 1/2" black rubber 4x6 it's $67 for the mat, but with shipping it's $126.

A 3/4" horse mat is 10x more durable and way less than half the price!!!!

Free shipping if it’s over $100, so two mats and you are set. Also, I went with the 1/4” and after shipping I’m at $52.xx. Either way, I’m not sold on the horse hair mat for keeping things from sliding.

You know horses are crazy heavy and horse owners demand something ultra durable for safety reasons.

Why would you order 2) 4x6 mats for one truck? Just asking.

Never said both mats would be for the same truck. I have many friends who have pick-up trucks that could be interested. Just need to talk one of them into it and it’s free shipping.

Also, I don’t know where I got the idea the mat you were talking about was horse hair, so that’s my bad. I agree, if you can locally source one of those it may be a good idea depending on what you want it for. The nubs, in my opinion, wouldnt give the traction that im looking for (see previous comment about sliding a safe across it).

Either way, both are cheaper alternatives to the name brand bed mats.
