New front bumper

Last week I had a tweaker in a BMW decide to yard on the breaks to make a last minute turn. We were doing 35-40mph and I couldn't get stopped in time. No license or insurance and she was more interested in leaving before the police showed up. Not worth making a claim on the insurance, so I just ordered a new bumper. The grills is fine just 1 scuff after washing it.

Going with a winch bumper and was able to get the badlands 12k winch on sale for $475. Bumper should be shipped any time now.

Momma had me busy most of the day, she is pretty demanding at 38 weeks lol. Ran out of daylight to run foglights but got a Started at least. Since I was tearing the front of my truck apart again, switched out the headlights to morimoto bi-led housings.

Foglight and part sensors will be another day.

Lol no joke. Ordered gears for my jeep....turned into ordering a procharger...then adding chromoly axle shafts...

On sale for $1,589 made it even better. I didn't want the pre runner look but didn't want a dooms day bumper either.

looks cool, but here in western oregon that thing would be water logged all year. Weight unknown lol, also the those rustic rivets are expensive as hell.

Got sensors and lights wired up. Definitely helps finish it off.

Well it would need to be the farthest point out in the the bumper for proper use right?

I would have thought that it would be flush with the face of the bumper.
I think that the company would only have to have another plate, that would attach to the back side of the front plate.

It is not a big thing, i just think that the manufacturer took a short cut.

I have never seen a flush roller or synthetic farelead. I have owned dozens of winches and bumpers and they all look like this. This is my current Ram.

They stick out as you want it to be the last contact point for the cable/rope. You do not want a ruff or sharp edge.

When i first looked at the original image above,
I mistakenly thought that the cable guide was PLASTIC

I have since looked at several images online & realized that they most of them are made of Aluminum
