Looking for a shop in NW FL that can changeout my cam and lifters, maybe mds delete.
My go to guy down the street hasn’t done many and mentioned the last one kicked their ass…
Be sweet to find a shop that does these with any greater frequency.
The Navarre and Milton stealerships are ****.

that's what I meant, FWB - Step One. I haven't been by there in years. I don't think anything has changed. They were on their ass last time. I showed up for an appt and everybody had just walked out.

I thought you meant a shop, not a dealer. I bought mine from Step One in Crestview. Never went back.

Ft Walton has a lot of independent shops. You can try calling around.

Restylers Aftermarket Specialists in Ft Walton may be able to recommend a mechanic.

I appreciate but Restyler's is the most overpriced for anything shop there ever was.
I called Sandy Sansing Milton Jeep Dodge and they sounded like they had done plenty of them and the cost was $1,500 less than I expected so I made an appointment. $1,250 labor, $2,200 parts. $100 core on the cam.
Said Detroit isn’t sending any parts but they have em.

Took it to Sandy Sansing Milton Dodge. Between the time I made the appointment and drop off, it started making some kind of crazy noise like something was rolling around under the hood. I looked at the tensioner and everything else and couldn't identify it.
They said it was the water pump bearing going out. They changed the water pump and said the noise was exhaust and not lifters. I didn't like that at first; I've changed my manifolds for shorty headers. Then I recalled, I had to replace the gasket on one side. Now I gotta replace the driver side, I guess.
