Any thoughts on this? Have been messing around trying to find the main cause of my P2098. New O2 sensors didn’t help it, shop says there is no exhaust leak. It always seemed to be triggering when the truck was low rpm in 4th gear around 50mph I determined after using freeze frames. For a last ditch effort I tried putting some local miles on with Overdrive Off and surprisingly no code’s whatsoever. Not sure the rational and was hoping to see if anyone had any insight?

Sensors other than OEM , can cause weird issues . Sticking with what the factory used is adviced for all sensors ,and all brands imo.

The code P2098, post catalyst fuel trim system too lean on bank 2 simply translates to a lean (too much air and not enough fuel) condition the PCM recognized through the signals from the oxygen sensors. Bank 2 refers to the side of the engine that does not contain cylinder #1.

there are several causes listed on this site below, & good diagnostics too
