If you keep your truck on pavement yes the shocks can stay. Going to a longer shock is recommended. @Nick@GotExhaust can have a set of bilstein or fox sent to your door quickly and since you have to unbolt the shocks to lower the axle the job is half way done. If you have a rebel or outdoorsman you will need to upgrade to a longer shock.

To Quick Shifter, thanx for input! Not off-road rig. 5100 in frt, set at 2.1. Spacer is to help w/ rear sitting so low. Already have bilstein shocks on rear.

Assuming you have the rear 5100s, bilstein lists those as being for 0-1” lift so you’ll be golden.

To all who replied, many thanks! I installed 1in spacer today, easy for a young guy,not so much for old guy. Good ride, air bags still there, but empty! Wish I had done this when I put 5100s on frt!
