Anyone getting a really annoying squeak from the adjustable seat belt holder on the B pillar of the door (over the drivers left shoulder)? Its constant squeaking/whining as the seatbelt holder pivots. Ive tryed multiple sprays, WD-40, liquid wrench, to stop or reduce it with no avail. Im one step from taking the torque nut out of the assembly to inspect further, but have no idea how this integrates into the airbag column and if it would cause issues. Anyone done this or had a solution?

Note: i tried to edit the A- Arm to B pillar but it woudnt let me, pardon my lack of knowledge

Yeah, I get that as well. I don't hear it all the time, but when I do it bugs the crap out of me. I end up driving with my left hand holding the mount, and it is more noticeable with the window closed.

Have you tried silicone spray? If you use a silicone spray on a rag and wipe down the rubber seals, that should take away any squeaking from the seals.

Update:

I used the service manual steps posted by Pedro Dog here: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen-ram-tech/379648-remove-b-pillar-grab-handle.html. Didnt go as far, as pulling the Torq bolt holding the seatbelt holder, but had enough room to pull the pillar panels out to slide a hose of WD-40 in there and covered everything. You have to pop the lower panel first, then the upper panel using a trim stick or in my case a wide flathead screw driver. Seems to have worked for now. Will update on how long it lasts. Priorly I had been spraying it from the outside and it was doing no good. I concur with Nate4x4, silcone spray will be needed when I get a day to break the torq nut!

Hi guys, I know this is an older thread but wanted to see if you found a specific thing that was causing the squeak. I have what sounds about like the exact same thing. Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it usually after hitting a bump and sounds like it's coming from inside the pillar somewhere. Not as noticeable when the window is cracked a little and seems to go away after a rain or a car wash for a little while then comes back. Also have a squeak coming from the passengers side, back seat , seatbelt area. It's driving me nuts.

Hi @barefootdiver - If you are not able to determine a solution based on suggestions from fellow forum members and you decide to address this with your Ram dealer, please do not hesitate to follow up with us via private message. We would be more than happy to get you set up with a specialist for an additional layer of support for the dealer process.

I believe I have found and fixed both squeaks!! I was getting in the back of the truck the other night and heard a sound very similar to what I hear when driving. It was the leaf springs squeaking. Now I would have swore up and down the noise was coming from the B pillar, but the sound must travel along the frame and up thru the pillar, specifically around where the seatbelt comes out. So I got some white lithium grease and sprayed my leaf springs and bushings and that made the left side squeak quit. I did squirt some silicone down behind the B pillar and along the trim areas too.
The squeak that was coming from my right side back seat turned out to be a piece of trim on the door, just in front of where the seat belt is, that was missing a bottom clip and was causing just enough movement to create an annoying squeak. I took the piece off and no more squeak! Will have to see if I can find some kind of retainer clip to put in on with. I finally enjoyed a very quiet, squeak free, ride to work this morning!
