Hi. 01 1500slt 5.2 here.
Had to replace the bushings in my shift linkage. While doing it I realized that I had a ton of play in both the shift lever and kick down lever where they go into the transmission housing. In order to tighten those, I had to remove and clean them. While removing them, I could feel the shift lever move through the gears. So now I just want to be positive that I'm actually in park before I put it all back together. So, is park the shift lever at the transmission housing being as far forward as possible? Thanks in advance!
