Hi, I recently put on move bumbers on 2018 Ram 1500. Issue is on job site remote and didn’t think about the access to lower the spare. Can’t get tool in to lower is there another way to get down. I have tried get to the tube/slit from behind bumper but just not enough space.
Any ideas? Sort of stuck on remote solar field.

Only other way would be to lift the bed off the truck to access the hoist. It would be easier to remove the bumper.

If you don't have the gear to drill a hole you may have to knock the tube off the winch if you are really short of space, yours may or may not have this, and go at it that way. You should be able to get the last section of the four part tool into the winch slot by going at it from under the truck. Then put a socket and ratchet on the square end and wind it down. Will be a slow process lowering it, but you can get it down.

Double click picture to enlarge it then click it again for max size.

Wondering if you remove the accessory plug/cover if that would at least give you a bit more access or leverage to get the tool in?

Should just pop out from clips behind bumper, or prying from the front.
