When going out as a family including my or wife's parents, it's a bit difficult for them to get in and out of my lifted truck as they're in their 60s/70s. So I'm thinking of putting my truck back to stock height to better accomodate them as I find it's not practical for us anymore. We have another vehice, but it's small Mazda Tribute SUV that we can't all fit in.

What is yall's opinions on selling used lift parts? is there a market for it? I've google it but many folks say stay away because they don't know what conditions/stress the parts have been put under, but my truck is 2w drive, so zero off-roading and used mainly for driving to work and family stuff on weekends.
Opinions/comments?

You know what would really help? Get powered side steps. I’ve got the AMP research and they have made a huge difference getting in n out of my truck (my 72 yr old pop & mom). You’re looking at roughly $2k installed.

Thanks. I will look into those. I really like the lift and hate to get back to lower height
Lots of shops down your way, Conroe and Houston that could hook U up with installed AMP powered steps if U do not have the expertise. If U really like yer lift, I would look into that avenue. Just IMHO. Talk to Sherman Bird in Senior Citizen II Thread. he has a shop in Houston, Just a thought. He should be able to point U in a definitive direction since U R in Spring.

Thanks I'll look into that. Yep, Houston and Texas in general has several truck shops. There is a close one to my house on 2920 called All Out Offroad too that I may check out.

Well, heck, just a suggestion, but @Sherman Bird in this Forum has a automotive shop in Houston, he may be able to direct you if U want.

A Used lift kit is going to be a hard sell, and to top it off you are 2wd so that's a double whammy. You might find some kid on market place or something but don't expect to get much out of it.

One more vote for power side steps. I have the factory ones on my 2500. I am short enough that the ground to top of floor opening at 28" is nearly the same as my inseam. I would not be able to get into the truck without them. With them it is a snap. two easy steps and in. Nice clean look when retracted.
