Last weekend I went to rescue my buddies second gen 1500 360 gasser

He was going up into the mountains for a job when something let go in the transmission. luckily he was able to limp it off the 15N at ste agathe into a tims/gas station parking lot with lots of space

when he told me what happened i went and measured my 21' tilt equipment trailer at work. 80" between the fenders. i looked up the specs for a 2nd gen 79.3"
i called him up and I said I hope you have stock tires brother!
he says yes so after work I hitched up that double axle tilt trailer to my ram, fillee the gas tank and went to pick him up at his house (30 minutes from my work)

It *** Saturday afternoon and the boys were out and everyone wanted to come so the warlock was full up with 5x 200lbs (conservative estimate haha) men including myself
the empty trailer weighs about 2.5k lbs

from his place to his truck was 150kms (94 miles) took 1/4 tank to get there
with the truck loaded up on the trailer we got back close to his place (15 minutes) but it was the last gas station open at that time of night. took another half tank to get to there. so including the 15 minutes back to his place and 30 minutes to return the empty trailer I used a bit more than a 3/4 tank to get the job done. I am very impressed I was sure she going to be chugging the fuel down like collage girls on spring break!

the truck was a bit to far forward on the trailer other than that it was perfect! the warlock handled it with skill and ease! the hemi and 8 speed in tow haul mode never skipped a beat! always in power, never lugging. downshift when necessary but able to hold the gear and let the hemi work at 4k rpms, truly a beautiful thing with the x pipe and true dual exhaust :patriot:
3.92 gears and real lt 10 ply tires aired up to 50 in the rear and 45 front
I also have biltstien 5100s and tuftruck coils in the back that definitely helped! even though she was squatted was not riding on the bump stops and I still felt like I was in control of the truck. kept it under 65mph the whole way back.

great experience overall!

forgot the hand/app calculated milage
thats 13.83 mpg

seems crazy. must be the keeping the speed down that does the trick because I get worse milage than that just going back and forth to work
my trucks lifetime average is 16.6 l/100km

Yep, keeping the speed down helped a ton. I just towed my '85 C10 from Marion, IL back home to GA this past weekend. Got ~16ish headed up with the empty trailer (~2500lbs) and got 11ish headed home loaded and running 70-75. Same thing, mine squatted a little more than I would've liked but handled the load just fine. Some helper bags and she'll be perfect. 3.92s FTW

The front of that truck looks scary light, you need more than airbags as those don't return weight front axle like a WDH does.
This video shows the difference, level doesn't mean it's correct.

Lol relax. The truck’s leveled, the nose is always that high. I’ve got 100k miles towing all sorts of trailers, this was perfectly safe. The rear squatted about 2”, the front barely raised. Towed just fine

You ever tried loading the truck on backwards. When I haul a diesel ram I load it backwards to equalize the weight

I thought the same thing but didn't want to be "that guy" lol.

The trailer looks perfect for a rear facing tow, it would have put the very heavy cummins right over the last axle and the rest of the truck would have been adding just enough weight to the TV to settle it down.

1210
they are great! the stocks are too soft for me. sometimes I wonder if i should have gone for the 1211s, when i was ordering i was concerned of going too stiff. these 1210s are perfect, should be stock as far as im concerned haha. paired with biltstien 5100s completely changed the road handling ride and feel!
at the time it was not too expensive, great deal for the improvement in handling!

my future project list will include core 4x4 lower rear control arms at minimum, try to eliminate that pesky wheel hop
