So, I first started noticing this at around 77k miles and I am at 81.5k now. When going up a steeper hill, the 8 speed tranny (2016 1500 5.7) just cuts out at about 2500 rpms. It’s not just a slow shift from 1st to 2nd, but my truck loses all power and I have to let off then it will shift properly through the upper gears like nothing happened. Pedal goes dead as well. Has anyone else experienced this? It does it at any temperature level and does not matter if the engine is cold or not. But it does this about 25% of the time, so it is intermittent.
