Point of Order: Whether pulling fuel, loaded water, wateva: Either full or empty. That 1/2 full stuff, especially say a couple 100 gallons, remembering that water is a lil over 6 Lbs a gallon, that is a recipe for an ole chit moment, and if on wet/slippery/icy roads, may be a biotch to recover from. Fill water tanks at last place prior to going to an area, or run full, neva 1/2. But alas, free country, OP or anybody do what makes U happy.Good point about the 1/2 full tanks. We used to haul water for the farm when i was a kid,and a 1/2 full 500 gallon water tank in the back of a 3 ton grain truck, would move the truck around on the highway a fair bit if the water started to slosh around. It wouldn't be as noticable with only a 1/2 dozen galloms of water, but it still might be noticable on a high speed off ramp etc.
POST LATER: shows water at 8.1 lbs. Where did I get the 6 from, thinking aviation fuel, LOL. My bad, too many years on flightline.
ADDED: I used to run gas station. And every tanker guy I talked to said: No friggin way would they do a divided load because of above. Either dump all, or if divided, next stop best be down the street. Just too friggin dangerous. And the way PPL are now driving distracted: Not paying attention: Got phones plugged into their ears, Bass systems booming, vehicles so noise deafened just not pay attention. Just saying and all IMHO.....
