why do some 5th gen rams have a CD slot - others don't, but same package

Looking at two trucks, comparing stickers they have the exact same limited level one group option, but has a cd slot next to the USB slots, the other doesn't. Curious what the CD would be for given the trucks are identical on the window sticker.

I was referring to the wireless Apple Carplay....

I found, from looking at the beginning of this thread, that apparently I DO have a CD player. However, I've never used it. And probably never will.

Oh don't worry they don't have it for the 2021's either. That being said Uconnect 5 is here in other Chrysler brands so it'll be on the Ram's in the coming years.

I found, from looking at the beginning of this thread, that apparently I DO have a CD player. However, I've never used it. And probably never will.

From several tech sites online there is some kind of limitation within Android architecture that forces a wired connection. When using Android Auto over a USB cable, phone calls still go over Bluetooth. The article suggested it would take a massive overhaul of Android that would cause other unknown problems. What bugs me most about Android Auto with the 12 inch 4 C screen is how it will only use half the screen. Sometimes I think it might be enough to talk me into an iPhone.

I'd use one if I had it since I still have lots of CD's. The more options for music the better I say, LOL.
