I just did a 400 mile round trip through Virginia. Half interstate, half mountain roads. Averaged 21.6mpg with the 3.92s, I’m impressed!

how much better I’d the Jay Greene tune? And what device you flashing it with?

I’m 4x4 and apparently the front gears in the 2016 can’t be swapped anywhere near being simple. If I was doing a full gear swap I’d push to 3.92’s.... or something custom like 3.66’s

Is how much better is green tune?
How much better you would like green tune?
Truck ran great with pulsar, completely different with green tune? Well worth it!

I'll have 4.56 or 4.88 if i could do front and rear for $1000 parts and labor like i did with my 4 door Jeep Wrangler. On the RAM it'll cost a lot more than that because the BS RAM did with the front and rear diff on this trucks after 2011. Shame on the damn engineers that believe cutting one corner to save the company couple of damn bucks is the right approach for everybody.

Yeah, auto-correct messes up more than it fixes. It was, “How much better is the Jay Greene tune?”

Sorry about that, haha. The only thing that makes me nervous on the pulsar is that I haven’t seen AFR numbers. I also am understanding that you need the Pedal Commander to tweak the throttle mapping. I was hoping someone was ready to write custom tunes to it by now.

Mich Def LTX275/60/20s (stock). I still have to roll out then hit it or it spins bad also depending on the road (nasa 1 is ok) I still spin on a roll out, just didn’t want to give you false hope lol

So, it's a "big d*ck" thing, and not much else. Got it.

I love my 3.92's because even with my Mud Terrain 35's I am still able to rip the pavement off the ground from a traffic light.

My 2007 Quad Cab 1500, RWD, 5.7L Hemi came with 20" wheels and 3.92 gears in an open differential. I plan to upgrade the differential with a Detroit Locker and 4.56 gears to enhance the power my truck develops.

I personally like my 3:92 because it keeps me fully gorged.

Like what? I’ve had BFGs, generals and Nittos but my 80 mile round trip to work.....I’ve done the whole lifted/all terrain tire thing and I’m over it I like a smooth ride

Next time why don’t you read up on someone before you make a total ******** comment like that

You're cool , Dirty.

But your 3.55s suck.

I was on a damp, flat road the other day. It had quit raining a couple hours before. Second gear, 40 mph, I stomped on it, and both back tires broke loose. Love my 4.10s.

392—321. Doesn’t matter much to me but I am happy with my 321. Better off not worrying about your mileage, just enjoy the ride. With 60 pounds of air in my tires I can do the same thing your wife likes. LOL

Had 3.55s and a 6sp in my 2014, what a dog . The rest of my Rams have had 3.92s except the 2000 Offroadster with 4.10s. It used to be if the Ram had the rotten 20" wheels it had 3.92s , well some time from when I went from my 07 to my 14 Ram changed that and I did not crawl under and check the ratio on my 14. That will never happen again . This 17 and every other Hemi powered ram I have owned gets better gas mileage than my 14 with 3.55s, not much but its not worth limiting yourself to 3.21s or .55s. Its a lot easier to get all that weight moving with lower gears I guess. Fact remains too I almost always run 35" tires also

Hey bud-your stuck in the middle with me and our 2012s --I only haul firewood in the bed and have yet to put a ball in the hitch--My Hemi will burn rubber if I want to kill those expensive 20"ers . Only do it once in a while to show off. For daily driving- even with a bed full of firewood-the 355 works for me. I wouldnt pay to change it out-would have bought a different Ram with differnt options to begin with.DSC00560.JPG

Love my 3.92s...wouldn't have any other ratio in the current truck. Next one will be a 2500 with the 4.10s.

I have the 3.92, and am able to get 20mpg combined driving. guess as long as you have a tall enough top gear the mileage will be ok. my truck is turning just around 1600 rpm at 60 mph but when you give it the gas it feels like a jet taking off and will break traction on wet pavement.

Had 3.55’s in my 2014, 3.92’s in my 2017. I like them a lot more.... I got better mileage with the 3.55’s, but for towing I’ll take the 3.92’s any day.....
