A friend has been living with a tic-tic in his 2014 Ram 1500 "for years." His current Odo is 114K miles.
I convinced (maybe shamed) him into getting the work done, assuming it would be something like mine.
He reports back an odd situation.
Leaks on both sides.
Broken Bolts on Driver side: 3...
Turns out is was another blown low-beam element.
A quick replacement at O'Reilly's and it was good to go.
These are 1500 hour lamps. I checked out the higher output lamps on the display rack. The higher you go, the lower the service hours. Down to 275 hours for the higher output lamps.

NJ MoPar,
That's what I call "Service."
Thanks.
These lights are "adequate" for me at present... but just adequate.
If I have to replace the passenger side, I'll go with your suggestion.
Is this the light element you are suggesting...
Having searched several threads on head light problems, I noticed that they seem to end without resolution.
Here's another one.
I purchased this 2014 Ram 1500 Express last month.
I checked the function of all lights prior to purchase and they were all good.

The work is all done.

$67 for the bolts and gasket. ($42 bolts, $25 gasket)
$75 for belt sanding. The machine shop quoted $30 + shop time.
Cruise...

Better than spending $100 or so on replacement cast iron units that will eventually warp...
Here is a tutorial on the clock spring and the systems that can go down if the clock spring mechanism fails.
The term "Clock Spring" doesn't really describe the simple mechanism.
It is neither a clock, nor a spring. Just a semetrical overlay of ribbon wires like the petals of a flower that...
The shop just called.
So far as planned.
1) Passenger side with a couple broken bolts. Exhaust manifold off to the machine shop for some whittling.
2) Couldn't find any issue with the driver side manifold. They will give it another check.
3) Cruise Control issue is the famous "clock spring."...
I dropped it off this morning.
Plan is to check the passenger side to verify exhaust leak (heck, it could be a cam, but it's not).
Do the passenger side.
If able, send the cast iron exhaust manifold to the machine shop for truing.
Replace with OEM bolts, gasket, etc.
Check the driver side. If...
