Having searched several threads on head light problems, I noticed that they seem to end without resolution.

Here's another one.

I purchased this 2014 Ram 1500 Express last month.

I checked the function of all lights prior to purchase and they were all good.

**The prior owner added the LED surrounds.** Both sides function.

Several days after purchase, I noticed the driver-side Lo-Beam was out. Its high-beam functioned normally.

I pulled the lamp and hooked it to a 12V source and found that the lo-beam was, indeed, inop.

O'Reilly Autoparts had a replacement lamp which was installed. Lo-Beam functioned, and remains functional today.

Several days ago, I notice the passenger side Low-Beam was inop. And the next day it functioned. Later that night it was inop. I hit the high beams and drove that way for a few minutes. I went to Low-Beam when traffic approached but now found both Low-Beams functioning. It functioned the next day, but two days ago it went inop again and remains inop.

Before I head to O-Reillys for another lamp, I wanted to get some insight to get a clue into if there is some RAM electrical problem I should explore.

I see this has been moved from "Audio & Electronics" to "Exterior."

I suppose headlights are mostly exterior and more electric than electronic.

Try jiggling the harness on the right headlight while it's on. If it flickers it's probably the ground wire.
You can use a couple of wire taps and a length of 16ga wire to jump across the connector.
Search 'left headlight fix' here.

Just noticed you have the same aftermarket lights as mine. AmeriLite duals with DRL tubes. They use an H13/9008 dual filament single bulb.
I recommend Fahren LEDs. Much brighter than the halogens, adjustable base, no CANBUS issues.

The DRL tubes might be spliced into the parking light wires, I'd check all connections.
I tapped my DRLs off an 'on with ignition' fuse so they're always on whether the lights are or not.

Turns out is was another blown low-beam element.

A quick replacement at O'Reilly's and it was good to go.

These are 1500 hour lamps. I checked out the higher output lamps on the display rack. The higher you go, the lower the service hours. Down to 275 hours for the higher output lamps.

At some point I'll replace with LED units.

Also, I have now tried both methods of removing the headlight modules. The first time I removed the headlight using the method that doesn't require removing the grill but requires the extra-long extension. This time I removed the grill. I prefer the removed-grill method since you can see everything, and removing the grill is easier than futzing with the headlight with the grill installed.
