    Engine itself is the same. All 2013 up have same reluctor. You will need to use the sensors out of your 2016 engine & any external components that may differ such as intake, throttle body, ps, ac comp. etc.

    I 'm assuming this truck is 2009 or newer with the vvt engine. If so, a 6.4 oil pump will give you more oil pressure because the 6.4 has pin oilers where the 5.7 does not. The 6.4 pump has a stiffer spring. Hellcat pump has slightly more volume. As far as lifters, to do a mds delete you just...

    4.7 to 5.7 swap

    I was told by tuner that my 06 pcm can be switched to 5.7 in the tune, which would probably require the 06 sensors & changing the plug ins on the 04 harness to fit the sensors if they're different.

    Also, the early 04 had a different pcm like the 03. The late 04 pcm looks identical to my 06 for what that's worth. 4 plugs, bolt in the same, same plug ins.

    I'll add, not worried if it throws a light as long as it runs. The 06 pcm can be changed to run a 5.7 but not sure that would work as well with the 04 harness, sensors etc.
