Class V hitch
The adapter came with my 2018 2500. Mine rattled a bunch on our poor quality roads so I moved to the 2.5 hitch and now all is quiet.- code54

I have heard that BUT my 2012 CTD only got 12 around here and 15 on the highway. My 6.4 does better than that AND gas is cheaper to so in my case I didn't find that to be true. I also had a lot of concerns with possible expensive problems and I always had an oil change light kick on around...- code54

Any pointers on using a 2 post lift ?
I always lift my vehicle just off the floor and then push down on the front and rear bumpers to check and make sure it is balanced and does not slip. I then take it up a bit more and double check all my lift points by looking under it and making sure they are all firmly seated. I also place... -

Gas vs Diesel
I had a CTD (2012) and it towed great. I mostly am around 12K and not towing real often so I went with a 18' 6.4 and am pleased with it. Does a great job and around us gas is about 50-60 cents less a gallon so the mileage isn't an issue.- code54

1500/V6 impressions....
Have a 6 cyl. Ram 1500 for work, had a 5.7 before that. (Personal truck is a 2500 6.4 and a CTD before that). If you just do light hauling the 6cyl. is plenty. I don't tow with the work trucks but drive a LOT. The 6 is amazing - smooth, decent power and mileage. I really am impressed. I...- code54

2019 Ram Trailer ball mount size
Yep - really the trailer will dictate the drop. On my dump I am at 6", on a small landscape I am at 8", and my HD Eqpt trailer is good at 4".- code54

Had a 2012 6.7 and liked it but mostly used it for short trips. Often towing 12k and it did a great job but I was always concerned with the short trip and the known issues with the diesel. If you regear you will get the ratio closer to stock or even better ratios which will allow the truck to pull better. This will also make the engine and tranny "work" less - it will reduce your top speed but in a truck or on road vehicle this really does not matter as the minor difference will...- code54
