    How many miles on your 4th Gen Ram

    2012 Longhorn At 86k had to replace manifold bolts. At 95k wiring problems started. 100k pcv valve went *****. 140k leaky oil valve seal (that hurt) Except for wiring gremlin it runs great.

    No dome lights when opening doors.

    I have the opposite problem. Lights come on opening the door. I can push the lights and they will go off with the door open. With the door close, they won't come back on when pushed. Visor lights don't work and the lights on the mirrors don't work.

    Oil leak help

    It was leaking past the seal into the exhaust side dripping into the exhaust system. I got the heads out and had all seals replaced to do it right. Can't stand an oil leak.

    Was it valve cover gasket? I had this same problem and it was far worse.

    I had this happen to my 2011 Charger. The lifters for the MDS seized and carved the cam up. I am waiting for it to happen on my truck.....

    1500's are really this useless? - Hit the CAT scale today - Disgusted

    I went down this road in 2012 when I purchased my Longhorn. I figured out 1500's are for light towing. I have towed 7500lbs often but worry about wearing the truck out. I look forward to the 2500 Gen5.

    5.7 whine on cold startup

    My 2012 did that whine too. I replaced the Serpentine belt while I redid the manifold tick and it went away.
