A wise investment is a portable generator placed outdoors of course so it doesn't kill you. If you want to go fancy you can get a static switch which will isolate the generator when the house power comes back on. You can wrap your pipes with heat trace cable to prevent them freezing. Lived most...
Just thought I'd mention pets when the thermometer drops. Their feet will freeze if they're out very long. You Texans stay safe and ride it out. Spring ain't too far off now.
I have the same truck in a 2015. I get about 26 mpg driving 70mph on the I75. If I had an option I would go 410 gears or next one up. With the 8 speed I don't think mileage would take that big of a hit. Tires are stock 31.5 I think.
The position of the gears lined up with the chain markings as per the drawing looks pretty straight forward. What I don't understand is what happened to putting #1 piston at TDC before sliding in the cam? Seems in the videos that people just slide the cam in and rotate it at will. How do you...
Thank you for that. I have a 2015 cc outdoordsman 8 speed with 3.92 gears and 17 inch wheels. Tires are 30.5 about. She pulls pretty good as is but a little more would be a bit more fun lol. Planning on headers too
I had 2 medicals some years apart in the 70's and both restricted me to PPL only. I had wanted a military flying life from a very early age but by age 13 was wearing glasses. Closest I got to jets was working with Orenda OTF turbine standby generators. These engines were used in Canada's...
Wow so many guys with awesome jobs. I managed about 60 hrs of the usual training types but eyesight prevented a commercial rating. Kids and houses got in the way until 2010 when the wife told me to call Stallion 51 and book a flight. So i have 4 hours of dual in the P-51 and a couple in a...
When searching for MDS lifters it seems like all that's out there is chinese made. I refuse to support that country in any way if I can help it. Looks like being forced into deleting MDS to get a decent set of lifters. Wouldn't be surprised if even oem are chinese made.
Nice to hear from all the Saultites. Maybe we should do a get together sometime when it makes sense to do so. I'm not real truck savy so it would be nice to swap ideas and experiences. For now I'm happy the border is closed. And Edmonton is a zillion miles from anywhere lol.
So if I'm reading it right Jay's .5 HL will allow both VVT and MDS to remain untouched or is an MDS delete required. I'm pretty much in the same boat as the OP with occasional towing. I have a 2015 cc Outdoorsman with 3.92 gears. Planning on long tubes and the cam swap for some extra grunt. Not...
