    greasin that hitch

I was an RV chassis mechanic some time ago. I still have scars on my head from walking around the back of the rig and into the hitch. Just remove the darned thing already.

2021 Ram 1500 4x4x trailer connector is HAUNTED!

You answered your question without knowing. It a ground connection failure on the trailer. An electric brake type of system utilizes a rigid connection at the ball which serves as an additional path to ground. The surge brake system incorporates a sliding ball-to-trailer connection eliminating...

    Exhaust questions

I'm in the same situation. I need a new cat back system. Made a mistake on my GMC and could not drive it for long. The drone was terrible. Don't want to make the same mistake again. Any suggestions short of factory?

    BFG KO 2 tires

I had a similar situation. It started with a wander then a vibration. Turned out to be an outside u-joint on the 4-wheel drive axle. Had the issue from the time I bought it used, three years ago. Had it in several shops including where I bought it.

    camper wiring

I believe the trailer light circuits are separate from the body lights. You should find separate fuses for each lamp(s) listed on the TIPM inside cover. Your problem is either a fuse or a bad wire.

What should I expect in MPG while towing my RV

BTW, I tow a 9000-pound, 33-foot travel trailer with a 2010, 2500 Ram, 5.7, 6 speed with 4.10 gears, and a cap. The latter makes a difference. I see you have one. That helps with airflow. I get between 6-8 MPG but I haven't as of yet driven the tac. This year if we get on the road in time. I...

What should I expect in MPG while towing my RV

As far as your WDH goes, a proper setup should have the truck and trailer as level as possible. Google your brand of WDH. Once on the factory site, upload your model number and other answers to any questions that may be asked. Follow the setup procedure and your homefree. It sounds difficult...

Any idea what this chirp/squeal is

The AC works with the defrost setting. That's why the windows don't steam up with the defrost on but will when it is off, so the clutch is cycling. Check that first.

    2012 Ram 1500 Towing Question

I have a 2010 2500, 5.7 6-speed, 410 geared 4x4 that pulls my 9,000 lb camper with ease. Yes, it revs on grades and if it hits the limiter (not often) it will drop back also. But that Hemi just wants to run. Keep up with your PM's and use a good synthetic oil. I use mobile one high mileage for...

    Running board question

Amp steps are the best. Tuck up out of the way when stored and extend down almost half of the way on my 2010 2500 HD with the factory leveling and TRX lift.

    What’s the cause of this?

It almost looks like a leak at the high-side fitting. Both hoses are wet but the low side is only wet below the high-side hose where they cross. Also, the wire loom behind that point is also wet. The best guess there is the oil is being blown back in the wind.

    fuel milage

    I think that's good. I average only 11-13 mixed highway/city and 8-10 MPG downhill with a tailwind towing a 9,000 LB t trailer. 2010 2500 HD, 5.7 Hemi with a 6-speed trans.

see the new concept electric ram

You can't call AAA to bring you 5 gallons of electricity. The real problem, as I understand it, is that electric vehicles are way too heavy for the existing parking structures. They are post-tensioned to accommodate a certain number of tones based on PSI. Both items taken into consideration are...

    Ram 2500 Power Running Boards

The Amp power boards deploy when you open the doors and stow when you close. they have safety stop and stow sensors and can be stopped in the extended position for cleaning or to stop things from hitting the body. I have them and love them.
