I had a similar situation. It started with a wander then a vibration. Turned out to be an outside u-joint on the 4-wheel drive axle. Had the issue from the time I bought it used, three years ago. Had it in several shops including where I bought it.- doc 11 ACR

I believe the trailer light circuits are separate from the body lights. You should find separate fuses for each lamp(s) listed on the TIPM inside cover. Your problem is either a fuse or a bad wire.- doc 11 ACR

What should I expect in MPG while towing my RV
BTW, I tow a 9000-pound, 33-foot travel trailer with a 2010, 2500 Ram, 5.7, 6 speed with 4.10 gears, and a cap. The latter makes a difference. I see you have one. That helps with airflow. As far as your WDH goes, a proper setup should have the truck and trailer as level as possible. Google your brand of WDH. Any idea what this chirp/squeal is
The AC works with the defrost setting. That's why the windows don't steam up with the defrost on but will when it is off, so the clutch is cycling. Check that first.- doc 11 ACR

2012 Ram 1500 Towing Question
I have a 2010 2500, 5.7 6-speed, 410 geared 4x4 that pulls my 9,000 lb camper with ease. Yes, it revs on grades and if it hits the limiter (not often) it will drop back also. What’s the cause of this?
It almost looks like a leak at the high-side fitting. Both hoses are wet but the low side is only wet below the high-side hose where they cross. Also, the wire loom behind that point is also wet. The best guess there is the oil is being blown back in the wind.- doc 11 ACR

I think that's good. I average only 11-13 mixed highway/city and 8-10 MPG downhill with a tailwind towing a 9,000 LB t trailer. 2010 2500 HD, 5.7 Hemi with a 6-speed trans.- doc 11 ACR
