Hello,
2018 Ram 8.4 UAQ running 40.1 is alerting me for a favorite song but it's a subscription message. I'm already subscribed to Sirius. So when I expect a favorite song, I get this sometimes. Anyone know how to stop it?
Thanks,
Earl
No common rail likes to idle. Causes injectors to foul. Ram won't warranty injectors if there is too many idle hours. You may want to talk to Chrysler Corp. To each their own. I don't idle unless I have to and when I do, I idle up.

Idle up on diesels have been since 3rd gen. My 07 2500 had it. Which was all prior to all the after treatment.
I use to instead of idling. Common rails do not like idling at idle speed. Also use it to get better AC when parked or sitting in traffic. Faster warmup when using with the exhaust...
I'm not taking about cold fast idle. I'm talking about the idle up feature. No tune needed, comes enabled from the factory. Like I said, I don't know if gasoline trucks have the feature. Also included on PTO optioned trucks. Again, I don't know if gasoline trucks have pto option.

Do the gasoline engines have idle up feature? That would be better on the engine than just idling at idle rpm. If fan is engine driven and computer controlled the fan speed would increase as needed. If it's electric fans they will come on as needed. Never had a gasoline truck, so I don't know...
Did you have a trailer on that has brakes? Otherwise no. System knows if there is a trailer attached with brakes or not. Otherwise it does nothing.
