2014 Ram Big Horn 4x4 towing a travel trailer *Newbie Here*

That truck should not be struggling with that camper, and it is perfectly fine for towing that rig regularly. I'm guessing you have unrealistic expectations of how a half ton should perform while towing.

Change coil spring or add airlift on ram 1500

Add these: https://timbergroveenterprises.com/0920-ram-1500-crm It comes with brass air line couplers, and is very easy to install yourself. Run your air line valve to the back and have it poke out from the plastic around the license plate. Get one of these so you can plug your air compressor...

Towing TT with golf cart in bed?

I won't get on a "that's too much weight" soapbox. It's your truck, your stuff, and your business. When I tow my 5000 lb camper with my ATV in the back, I can't close the tailgate. Leaving the tailgate down makes it hit right up against the electric hitch jack, which is a no go. I didn't want...

What's your experience with dealers and the TICK

I heard a bad tick on the passenger side. Dealer charged me a diagnostic fee around $150 to check it out that would be refunded if they found the problem to be something under warranty. Sure enough, broken bolts on both sides, fixed at no charge. Less than 1000 miles later the tick is back on...

    Bedrug full bedliner

Put one in my 2015 back when I bought it, and it has held up well to dogs, atvs, and the occasional load of rocks. I've cursed it a few times when trying to slide things in and out of the bed (not happening on this rug), but not letting things slide is the point of the thing. My biggest reason...

    Timber Grove airbags

After 3 years these things are still problem-free. I have since added an Airlift Wireless compressor with presets at 10 and 30 PSI. Now the bags inflate to 30 PSI at the touch of a button when I'm getting ready to tow, and deflate back to 10 PSI when I'm done. The compressor also keeps the...

    Calling Bedrug People

I mainly got it for the dogs, but it's been good all around so far. I installed it myself, and while I didn't get the line along the front of the bed as straight as I would have liked, it still looks pretty good and was easy to install.

Why doesn't anyone use air shocks to level suspension when towing?

I went with these air bags: 09'-15' RAM 1500 They bolt directly onto the bump stop cups, and they don't have the crappy plastic air hose connectors that are common with most air bags.

I would also buy one of these if you (or anyone) started making them.

    TGC rear spacer

I put mine on the bottom because that's what the instructions said, and I also saw an install post with pics where the guy put them on the bottom. I have seen many discussions here where some people say they need to go on the top, and one person even posted a pic he claims were the instructions...

does the back seat fold down?

Just as a heads up, I bought the wood spacers from Fox acoustics and they didn't allow the seat to fold down. I then added a single washer in addition to the spacers and the seats still don't fold down. I suppose some folks are unlucky and have hooks where it won't work, and my usual bad luck...

UConnect not working after AMP steps installed

Supposedly it was a screw they used to secure the power step wires somewhere underneath the truck. Somewhere under the driver's seat I think.

UConnect not working after AMP steps installed

Turns out they put a screw through a wiring harness when they were installing the steps and pretty much shorted out everything electrical in the truck. Dodge found the problem and billed the company that did the install. That one poorly placed screw cost them $805!

UConnect not working after AMP steps installed

I went back to the place that installed it and they used the kit that plugs into the OBD2 port. I had the error code looked at and it is U110E - lost ambient temp. So that means there is a problem with the temp sensor in the driver side mirror. No idea why that is screwing up the entire system...
