    trouble shot the steps with Amp today on the phone using a volt meter and found out the chip in the OPD2 connector under the dash is bad is what they expected. They said if anyone hits it it breaks the chip inside. I was advised to move the OBD2 using a AMP-76405-01A - Amp Plug and Play Pass...

    Ok so by bypassing the OBD port and hardwire them that shouldn't cause a issue with the computer down the road right if the steps malfunction again? I'm calling Amp Research today also :)

    Yeh the NEG wire for the steps started smoking when I went to put it on the NEG terminal. If I hardwire them vs going through the OB2 port do I run the risk of frying the computer?     I took the coil overs out and went with 4" Spindle lift Went with 35x12.5 didn't like the gas mileage buy rode great. Also didn't like the look to much tire 35x12.5 on a 20" rim Sold the 35's and bought new rims and tires again Went with Fuel Blitz -18 on 33x12.5 R22 , man the look is awesome...
