Wow that's crazy! So even with this similarity now in cost, you still think to stick it out and go for the 8.4 instead of the Linkswell Gen 4? Any specific reasons other than "it just works?"
Ah the man of the thread himself! Thanks for the advice, can't lie I'm a little bummed that these aren't more hashed out by now but alas, it can be tough adding third party stuff into something so integrated.

Do you have, or could you take some photos of the HVAC screen?
Also, any idea if the android auto screen takes up the whole screen or does it look chopped? Not sure if you'll be able to test since you mentioned that you're a carplay user.

'17 3.6 V6 getting about the same as everybody else has reported. ~19avg with 40-60 Highway-City(suburb) driving. 16/17 just running errands with stop and go and up to 23 on the highway with cruise control at 60-65mph

Just looking to see what kind of diffs are in my truck. I have a 2017 Tradesman and the cutsheet that i pulled from dodge based on my VIN says it has "conventional" deffs on the front and rear axis.
Does their definition of "conventional" mean open or limited or what?

So just to double check, I'm coming from a 97 Jeep XJ with select trac (4WD High and Low)... I don't have the auto 4WD in my 1500. Sounds like it'll work the exact same as the old school transfer case correct? Minus the mechanical linkage I had in the Jeep it...
