I replaced the gasket on my center light with a length of butyl rubber tape. Rolled it, applied it in place of the gasket, reinstall light. No more leaks. The vents behind the rear seat back are also a known source for water entry.

Many other manufacturers do a similar technology when replacing batteries. Some call it “registering” The battery, some “resetting battery state of charge” with ECM/PCM
Absolutely. Garage sales that mention tools, farm auctions. My wife actually told me once, “For what? You’re not even a farmer.” I just turn and grin while walking away.
