Well stay tuned this fall Im sure I will be talking with you on this. Im ordering a ton of parts right now for after deployment I will be starting this :). I have heard that tapping into the signal wire for the 0-5v is best at the pedal so im sure that's exactly where I will be going for it...- steermaster

Thanks for that info!!!! looking at it, I think looking at the ease of use and ease of wiring I will be going with the US Shift Quick 4. just hook right up into the RPM wire. and get ahold of a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500/2500 5.7L PCM with manual transmission.- steermaster

oh that's good to know about the speed sensor, so really all I need to do is connect the controllers RPM output to existing wiring and go off that. I have never flashed a pcm would I need to take it to a shop or what for that? That was kinda my though process was try to make a bracket to use...- steermaster

I have seen guys that have done swaps to different trans and their speedometer doesn't work anymore, what would I need to do to make sure my speedo still works fine. same with RPM?? If I bought a manual PCM would I have to get it flashed to match my VIN before I could start it up? if so, how do...- steermaster

Charonblk07 if I got the 4L80E swapped in, bolted up. What would I do with my current PCM/TCM and the electrical connections from my stock harness? I have no problem getting everything bolted up and adapted, im at a loss for electrical- steermaster

RPM Surge at highway speeds
Kinda had the same deal, if you were to hammer down on the throttle doe sit slip or act up? mine did this... transmission **** the bed shortly after- steermaster

whatever you plan to do with that transmission LET ME KNOW!!!!! I have burned six 545RFE and I'm only around 500HP but plan on getting a new engine from inertia to put 800+ out....so i gotta figure something out!- steermaster

I have an 04 Ram 5.7L 2WD automatic, I have burned through so many 545RFE i have lost all faith in them! would it be hard to convert over to something else? Im not sure what i could/would go to but just seeing if anyone has any insight on it? I don't want to alter my truck into a manual...- steermaster

Also I would talk to a 4 wheel store on spacing and such for wheels cause I run stock wheels but also have 2" spacers. If I didn't have those I would hit my control arms.... I know aftermarket wheels can cure that but I like my stock- steermaster

I went ahead and went with 37".... you can fit a 35" with level up front. I have a 4" lift and I rub really hard with 37. I trimmed my running board back ( still looks stock) but when I turn I run hard on the front bumper. I thought about throwing 2" coil spacers in but found out with a short...- steermaster

My lift has new coil springs in front, Bilstein 5100, 2 in rear block. It is the Rancho RS6579B Rancho kit. I don't want the cali lean look at all lol, but I also don't want a crappy ride...my tires are cupped a little in the rear so i bounce around like a fart in a skillet I am running stock...- steermaster
