Found a dash cap cover made of plastic for $105 shipped, with lifetime warranty.
My question to everyone and possibly someone who has a dash cap,
do y'all think my dash is to far gone for a cap?

I know lmc sells new dash for about $300 shipped, funds are limited.
Anyone on here bought the lmc dash?

well, there are many stories, but the most recent is heater core replacement, the police, and the Texas heat. When looking at the pictures I took I thought hah I dont even have a dash.

That's how my dash looked before I replaced it. Honestly, since those dash caps are glued to the pieces of the dash that are left I doubt you have enough dash left for it to stick too. At least it would cover the hole though.

I'm in the Texas sun too so my dash was nearly as bad as yours, I had sent a pic of my dash(what was left anyway :roflsquared: ) to one of the dashcap sellers on ebay and they said it was too far gone so I did the LMC dash and fit/finish was great on it.

It really wasn't that bad, the only thing bad I remember is I had forgot to loosen the gear shift indicator before I dropped the steering wheel but caught it in time before it got messed up. Other than that it's pretty straight forward, only took 2-3 hours. I'll see if I can find the link to writeup I followed.

well seems like lmc dash may be the best option for me then, shouldnt be too hard since I already know how to remove the dash from when I installed the heater core. I need to clean that damn heater air box anyway, didnt know it came apart when I replaced heater core. so there is some antifreeze residue throughout the passageways.

these companies really make a killing off dodge owners.

But if someone's dash was still good enough to just use one of the overlays, what company/product would you guys recommend?

My 94 is not to far behind yours. Going to have to do the LMC thing. I read somewhere here where a fellow went to a you pull it and found a LMC dash in a wrecked truck and got it for $12. Considering ALL the 2nd gens have dash failure you just might be able to find an LMC if you are not in a hurry and can spend a little time at the yards. DodgeTx given you live in a large city I would be willing to bet there are several LMCs just waiting to be pulled. I'm going hunting Thursday.

Im still waiting to see if any one has installed a 3rd or 4th gen drivers seat foam in a 2nd gen drivers bucket seat. If so I have a thread in interior. I have hunted everywhere, including the Dodge parts distribution place in Dallas with no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

And here's a funny. I installed a new radio last week and forgot to plug in the antenna. No problem. Just punched a hole in the dash and plugged her up.

That's funny. When I was installing my new head unit, it was easy to route wires from the top to bottom. Lol.

i have the LMC dash cover and it should cover the whole thing, you might need to fab something up to be a mounting point up on top though it just uses 3M tape

I had a dash cover installed on less dash than that. It worked fine. But honestly I regret the cover as it didn't match the color and it blocked the top bolt holes

Just saw this is an older thread. My apologies. Tapatalk hasn't been updating me of threads for the last couple months
