From experience, can anyone here give quick advise regarding the U Joint on the 3500 Cummins HO/ Aisin? My 2019 rig has 41K miles and I've not towed/ hauled much at all. Should I be concerned about it?

Service writer explained the other day how lubricating it is a major service requiring disassembling the drive shaft

You have more torque than I do with the HEMI but I am at +99k miles with the factory u-joints and I am not considering replacing mine.

SW said they only have to disconnect it to get at the grease fittings, etc. Not replace it. My query was about servicing/ lubing

If you get a definitive answer, please post it. I would be happy to remove my driveshaft if I could somehow grease the u-joints. I did not think it was possible.....

Obviously I don't know for a fact if it translates to your truck, but I can reach the grease zirk on the drive shaft u-joints on my 09 2500, I just have to have the driveshaft clocked in the right position.

Haha, yeah, back in the day, virtually all vehicles had zerks on the u-joints and everywhere else too. Many heavier duty trucks still have some. But zerks are totally gone on most passenger vehicles nowadays.

So, then, what? Is the joint permanently sealed needing no lubrication? Can you instead of making a belittling comment, please post a reference on that? No need for us to be impressed with your wittiness.

My self would ask them to show you in person just where the grease fitting is on your drive line that requires the drive line to be able to grease it, oh is your truck a 4x4 and its the front drive line they are talking about? If so based on the fitting I had in my 2006 front drive line that had the fish eye fitting and if yours has one like that they are full of poop the line needs to be removed to grease it.... Have you looked at your owners manual to see if it shows the location of said grease fitting????

It is a 4x4 but I did not know other than I recall him mentioning "U Joint." I looked in the 2019 2500/ 3500 Users Guide but could not find anything yet

There are ZERO serviceable grease points on a 2019+ Ram 2500/3500 truck. Anyone posting here about their pre-2019 trucks grease points is completely irrelevant to your truck.
Ignore the person that works at your dealership (not even going to call them a service advisor) and drive the truck.

up to 2018 there was one single grease point at the double cardan joint but 2019+ , like you said , now have zero grease points as the cardan is gone.
if people would take less than 5min to crawl under the truck and look for theirself instead of listening to some moron at the dealer.
folks forget that dealer employees were often times working at mcdonalds the week prior and know nothing about trucks.

"2019+ now have zero grease points as the cardan is gone." Well, that is what I was looking for. Thanks.
