This is my first time going for the emission test after having the Diablo tuner. I’ve tried two different shops for emissions and the emissions test keeps saying communication error. My truck has no codes thrown. Anyone else ever have this issue or know what to do?
I wasn’t even thinking about a convertor. I have much to learn. Honestly this is my vehicle that I ever done anything with. All my other ride were bone stock. I will have to do some research since I know nothing about the converters.
As of now I just have the 3.21 in the rear. Besides the V6 fan and 180 thermostat I think the 3.92 are in the very near future. Yes, I plan on keeping NA
I meant to say he was on the phone with the guy who writes the software for Diablo while he was doing the dyno. He was sending him the dyno report and getting his input.
I’ll have to ask him. He is friends with one of the guys who writes the software for Diablo while he was doing pulls on the dyno. I honestly think he a good tuner guy, just not to familiar with the Hemi.
Oh yeah bro, I was loving it. To bad here in GA it’s been raining this past week so I couldn’t really have to much fun with it. I’m itching to try the Trinty2 0-60 test and see what she can do. Hopefully by Friday the rain will clear and I’ll post the pull. Anyone want to take some bets? Over or...
Hey Hookedup87. Yeah I definitely was expecting more. I’m going to let him play around with it some more. He had it higher but the dyno was showing a knock, so he pulled out some timing. The last pull was the 12th time and the and the engine as he said was heat soaked. ♂️
Ok here are the dyno results. I still have to bring it back because he said it still needs to be dialed in better. I guess these trucks are not the easiest on the dyno. At 9pm last night we called it quits. The base line RHP was 298
Hey Wild one. Yes they ran the 2.25 all the way. I guess I’m not to concerned with the size. I’m just hoping the tuner can dial it in better. If not I guess I’m spending more money with Hemifever or Jay Green.
Ok just got back from picking up my truck. Here is the last run on the dyno. He said he still has to get it dialed in some more. It was 9pm so we called it quits. With me being very new to all this I’m not sure what to make of the results.
When I had my true duals done a few months back the exhaust shop said the ran all 2.5” pipe. The shop that’s installing the LT headers sent me a picture showing that the exhaust shop ran 2 1/4 not the 2.5 that they said. Do you think dual 2 1/4 will be sufficient with the American racing LT...
I’m going to have the shop that’s going to do the dyno do the install. Some tips I’ve seen are having to bend the dip stick and use cool wrap. I would still appreciate any tips from you that I can pass on to them.
Thanks for the assist offer Lyle. My next game plan was swapping my 3.21 for 3.92. After a bunch of research many are saying it’s not worth it on the 8 speed.
