    Which cover are you referring to? Your comment certainly doesn’t apply to the Revolver, since it uses a rotating rail which locks into teeth every inch and a half for the length of the closed cover. No Velcro.

    My 2014 had a similar issue. Sometimes the CC would engage, other times, zip. Finally replaced the entire switch module. Those microswitches can only take so many cycles before they fail completely. problem solved.

    Dee Zee Tailgate Assist

    I left it on my 2014 1500, but removed it after the first attempt to close the gate. The cylinder was pressed hard against the rubber pad. That pressure was just setting up the cylinder for a future leak. As others have said, no rattles or squeaks with the pad removed.

    Thanks. I may be only a year younger, but reading the RAM manual is aging me quickly. The headachy part is all those “if so equipped” cracks that add about 200 useless pages to the book. Thanks to you, I can refer to what I actually have, not what I’m guessing at.
