No you can hardwire them, tie in the mirror wires to the number 12 wire on the headlight housing’s wiring harness(this is the blinker), the blue wire in the pic is the wire that came with the mirror -

GM Tow mirrors on.
I came across this forum when looking up Chevy tow mirrors on ram. Why is it necessary to program (or add sales code to) the mirrors? Why can’t they be hardwired to signal wire?
