Question for you. Was it because you had the oil filter cap too tight?

Pentastar oil leak, is this a common spot?

I looked again today, and I see the majority of the oil is in fact coming from somehwere on top of the bell housing. I can't see where without a camera. Is this further evidence of the oil cooler leaking?

Pentastar oil leak, is this a common spot?

Hi to all, can you help me identify what may have caused this leak? I noticed a drip on the driveway, looked underneath and the entire transmission and pan was covered with oil. I thought it was a transmission pan gasket failure, but upon examination, it was engine oil. I cleaned everything...

Help! 15.5 MPG vs 22 MPG

Pentastar 3.6 question...I'm consistently getting 15 to 16 MPG in the city. BUT on the highway, I'm consistently getting 22 MPG, sometimes up to 25! Is this normal? 126,000 miles on the engine. (Rebuilt transmission installed at about 100,000.) I believe spark plugs and wires replaced...

    8hp70 fluid

I know Valvoline is popular, but not sure it has the additives ZF requires. According to ZF, "no other manufacturer is able to offer that".

    30k Mile Transmission Flush

Old thread I know, but I'm very close to changing my fluid. Not sure about the filter. I'm at 60,000 miles. 1500 Ram 2WD, 2017. You didn't go with the ZF compatible fluid. Doesn't your truck require it? (The green tinted fluid).

    ZF8 service with ATF machine

Hey, did you end up flushing or changing the filter/fluid at the filter fill opening? Also, can you get the temp up in order to force the bypass to open so fluid flows through the radiators? I'm thinking can you do that? I mean driving it till it gets hot enough to open, then disconnecting...

    Transmission level check procedure

Saw this video. Very interesting and worth a watch. I'm assuming the 1500 has a bypass. Anyone know for sure? https://youtu.be/BPkCUfqi-gE
