    Update. Dealership telling me factory crate engine is not an option. They stated they cannot get them. Gave me two options a Jasper or a factory rebuild. Jasper will cost $9200. Rebuild will cost $13000 but Chrysler has offered to contribute $4k making my cost $9000. Thoughts? I was not...

    It's not under warranty. Dealership told me I would have to pay the total cost of new engine and installation. They guessed somewhere around $10k. When I called in a complaint to Chrysler Corporate they told me they may be able to help with the cost of installation and if so, will let me know...

    I will verify before giving them the thumbs up on the engine and the install. I'm not interested in any 3rd party or any rebuilds. The dealership said they will install "new engine with certificate". Does this mean it's literally brand new or would they be talking about a rebuilt engine? Again...

    I tried that route with the trade-in.. They don't want my truck which I'm not surprised since it needs a new engine... They told me they know a guy that would give me a grand or two for it..... KBB showed $17k when it was running a month ago..
