    Flex-a-lite fan question

That really looks clean. I may have to hold off on getting this until I have the time to play around with mounting and fab ideas.

Thanks BigSloth. Let me know how the install turns out and how you like it.

    Flex-a-lite fan question

Awesome!! I appreciate all of the info and it definitely looks clean once installed. It looks like I'll be purchasing one of these in the near future. For you guys that have installed them, is the consensus that the relocation of the coolant & windshield washer reservoirs are pretty cheesy as...

    Flex-a-lite fan question

I've been thinking about doing the flex-a-kite fan conversion to free up a few extra horsepower and help with cooling on my 04 ram hemi that has a 392 stroker kit. My question is do the kits come with what is needed to relocate the coolant and windshield washer fluid reservoirs? Also do the fan...

All I wanted was a stroker

Going to use this week to break the motor in drive back and forth to work. Change the oil at the end of the week and hopefully get it on a dyno beginning of next week.

All I wanted was a stroker

Nope, no new lifters but they did check the rocker arm and sure enough the pushrod wasn't seated in the lifter (I have no idea how that happens and hopefully someone can explain it to me). They said that the pushrod was not bent and I went to the shop today and put everything back together and...

All I wanted was a stroker

The machine shop has the truck now and are working on the motor. @CKH I am running my stock heads with a mild port job.

All I wanted was a stroker

Sorry, it's been a busy week. i reaccomplished the compression check and had 0 psi on #7 cylinder. I pulled all of the spark plugs and the 2 for #7 were clean as a whistle and all other were black. I bought a borescope and checked the piston and cylinder on #7 and as far as I could tell...

All I wanted was a stroker

Didn't check the timing once I had done a compression test and came up with an average of 170psi on cylinder compression. I thought that if the timing was off, the compression would be way down?

All I wanted was a stroker

Ok so I talked to Comp Cams and they said the problem that I am having is called "Cold Start Fueling" and the engine wasn't getting enough fuel on start up and it was probably caused by the tune. I called Arrington and asked them and they said that the tune should be good and that I should check...

All I wanted was a stroker

So I tried a compression tester and I'm on average 160psi per cylinder. There wasn't a difference of more than 10psi between cylinders. This was all while using the starter to turn the motor over. When I turned the motor over by hand, the compression gauge never came up at all. I did notice that...

All I wanted was a stroker

Still waiting on word back from Arrington. Hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow. New AEM AFR gauge on the way and should be here mid next week. Also going to check the compression on the cylinders to see where I'm at this weekend. Any suggestions on where I should put the O2 sensor for the AFR?

All I wanted was a stroker

Any suggestions on a good gauge?

All I wanted was a stroker

Unfortunately I don't have a clue on the AFR. I haven't tried to hook up my new Diablo intune to it yet because I was waiting to see what kind of word Arrington would give me. I'm still running the stock 5.7 injectors and was going to wait until I could find out if I needed to upgrade to the 6.4...

All I wanted was a stroker

Right on. I'll try and do a compression/leak down check and I'll have to look into the chain tensioners. To my knowledge they were not damaged and not replaced. It's also the stock timing chain.

All I wanted was a stroker

Just got the PCM back from Arrington and the truck is still acting the same way. It idled for about 5 sec and then idled down and started to die. I can keep it running by feathering the gas as before and have to feather the gas to start again afterwards. Any other ideas other than the cam and...

    Will do. Thanks again.

All I wanted was a stroker

If the tune isn't able to get the truck running right after tweaking, I will definitely look into that. Thanks for the info.

I certainly hope they did. Do you know if it would throw any codes if that was the case?

All I wanted was a stroker

I'm staying NA, but maaaaaaaaan it sure would be sweet to have a supercharger. One can always dream though lol!!

All I wanted was a stroker

Yeah I know that unfortunately the "can" tune is a best guess, but as I said Arrington locked the PCM, so a handheld tuner such as a Diablo couldn't be hooked up to it to fine tune it for air/fuel, spark, etc to even get the truck to idle. I bought a Diablo i-1000 hoping to be able to do this...

All I wanted was a stroker

Current status: I had my machine shop install the correct parts once I received them and then reinstalled the motor. The truck would then at least crank, but the tune that Arrington loaded onto the PCM was a little off and truck wouldn't stay running unless you would feather the gas. Otherwise...
