    I have a 2003 Ram 1500 that is black but my wife and kids want me to paint my rims a metalic blue since my rims are dirty from rusty brake dust and I was wondering what and how should I do it ? Thanks in advance for any help before I go cold into it .

    2003 Ram Cruise Control works periodically

    The green light does go out when the cruise cuts out and sometimes after I shut the truck off and restart it will work but that is spotty also .

    I was wondering what are the Blue colored lights that I see and are so much brighter than my Halogen lights ? I put new headlight assemblies in and think I would like something brighter ?     Get you a good dash cam that shows your speed and MAKE SURE to put a good SD card in it and next time your pulled over hit the record button IF you really think it is a mechanical problem OR IT MAY BE sad to say your being singled out .

    I can not tell you a specific tire but we always had the Michelin tires on our Ambulances and they were snow tires during winter and they are the best around .

    Dealing with the salt.

    I live in Central Michigan and spray baby oil in all of the openings that I can get to on my Ram and it helps with the rusting from inside the panels as far as the outside the only thing to do is rinse the truck off as often as you can weather permitting .

    Word of advice... Never few up your tank pass the 1st click!

    I top my tank off till I can not get more fuel in my truck , I started doing it as it is what I have done with the vehicles I used in emergency services and never had a problem with any of the vehicles so I don't buy into this .

    Factory jack enhancements?

    I have AAA road assistance BUT I carry a Daytona three ton low profile jack in case they are backed up as I don't like to wait too long , I have used it more to help other motorist on the side of the road than I have for myself lol .

    I was warned not to buy a Ram truck because of the transmission

    I also have the 03 with the 5.7 and have almost 195,000 miles with no problems , I think if you just do your maintenance and keep your fluids clean it will last you a really long time .
