The AA heads were replaced on 7/26/12 which included a few 2013 model years. All 2012's had the defective AA heads. FCA offered a 150M warranty on these bad heads. My 2013 had sand in the casting which clogged up the radiator and heater core. Will never buy another 3.6L from FCA.
I called several local locksmiths and they all said they can not program the keys. Did find a rural small dealership who quoted $35 to cut and program key. Bought one on-line for about $20.
That happened to one of my JK Wranglers. Poor design. Our 2012's had bad cylinder heads, the 2013 had sand in the casting which clogged the radiator/heater core. The 2014 had a cracked oil cooler as well and it was not because some dealer over-torqued it, as I did all my oil changes myself. A...
Well I had a 2013 Ram with the 5.7L and had no problems with it at all. Not the case with six different JK's from 2012 to 2017. The other point that I would like to make is my Ram got better mileage than any of the JK's especially on trips. My latest Ram has the 6.7L with MT and with all the...
The later year 3.6L motors still have fragile oil cooler housings. Not to mention left side head problems due to design. Had a number of Wranglers with this motor and would never buy another one EVER! Go with the 5.7L and save yourself the headaches.
Called a smaller dealership in a rural area and they quoted me $35 to program/cut two keys. Far cry from the $120 quoted from the Tallahassee stealership. Wonder how they get away with this highway robbery.
Why wouldn't you want to cut the blade to match the door and have that available too. What is the procedure for using the AlphaOBD? Never heard of it, but then again, I am not much into computer stuff.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a "normal" key for the ignition in lieu of this stubby plastic one. I had a 2013 1500 which had normal keys but my 2018 2500 has the stubby one. Just hate the thing.
Got under there today and turned wheels lock to lock. Lots of extra space and additional 1/2" of width on each side appears to not potentially rub anywhere. Takes the revs/mile down from 623 to 603 so speedometer will be off less than 2 mph @ 60. Thanks again.
Does anyone know if LT295/70/18's fit on 2500 stock rims without a lift? Not too many choices in the 18 inch size. Just would like a tire a bit taller.
I had a Challenger Scat Pack with the 6.4L and it needed 93 to run right. Got no more than 14 mpg with it. My 6.7L Cummins Ram with 4wd and MT is getting around 20 mpg. I am amazed on how fuel efficient the thing is, but suppose a lot of the reason is the MT and flat FLA terrain.
Well, I bought the Cummins because it came with a manual tranny. Don't do a lot of towing but this thing is fantastic. Getting 20 mpg most of the time and with fuel here at 2.90/gal it actually is cheaper to run than my Tacoma was.
I traded in my Tacoma for a 6.7L Ram with MT. Had to drive 500 miles to find one as 2018 was last year for it. Truck gets 20+ mpg and could not be happier.
I just bought a 2018 with the 3.0 radio and paired my Android phone to it. Everything works except when you press recent calls, nothing comes up. I am no expert by any means with smart phones, but wondering if someone could help me on this, Thanks
