I went with the Borla touring exhaust cat back system. The previous owner had some hack job no name muffler welded in and it was way too loud and the drone was horrible.
The Borla has a nice tone normally and will get louder when you’re on it.
You can replace the digitizer for around $100. I broke that ribbon cable just trying to only clean the old glue off the first time too.
I used denatured alcohol to clean the glue off and it worked okay.
I’ve actually replaced the digitizer twice as the first one had a lot of dead areas and was...
Word of mouth is exactly how I found my mechanic after moving to a different area in PA. He was great in every way and I never had a question about any repairs he made or suggested. His specialty was domestic vehicles but would work on most. He didn’t have the full diagnostic software for the VW...
This probably won’t be any help for you but just in case it is I thought I would post it.
My daughter had a 2001 VW Golf and we went through 4 different versions of brake switches until VW finally got it right. The brake switch had a very specific installation procedure. The switch came preset...
I wish I’d have seen this sooner. Yesterday I installed an add on screen for wireless CarPlay in my wife’s 2014 Durango. Granted it was much cheaper but this system seems much nicer since it uses the stock radio.
Having trust in your shop and mechanics is all you really need. I’m sure it’s not their first 5.7 Ram that needed a new motor.
Back in PA I had a mechanic that I trusted and in the long haul saved me a lot of money on repairs and advice.
Like was already said, flush the heater core. You might want to pick up some radiator flush too. After flushing with water drain the core or blow it out and then mix the radiator flush with hot water. Fill the core and let it sit for a while. Then flush it out again.
I had to do this almost...
Your best bet is to try to Google it for your truck. There are YouTube videos out there.
I have a 2018 so it’s likely different.
On mine there are bolts under covers on the lower front console on both sides. There are bolts one the lower back of both sides of the back. You have to move both...
I recently replaced my right headlight assembly with one from RockAuto. It came with all of the bulbs already installed. It cost me about $230 for the assembly so you’re looking at around $460 for both. It’s not OEM but you can’t tell from looking at it.
Just replacing the bulbs should be...
You shouldn’t be able to move the battery clamps that easily when they’ve been tightened down. I’d try cleaning up the battery posts and clamps and make sure the clamps are closing correctly.
That sucks. I caught a chunk of wood that got kicked up and it took out my right headlight. RockAuto had a replacement for about $240. Not cheap but had to be much cheaper than OEM.
As for no heat on the drivers side the heater core might be plugging up. Pull the heater hoses off and flush the core in both directions several times. You might want to add some radiator flush and let it soak for a while and the flush the core again.
I used to have to do that on my daughter’s...
I don’t know Michelin’s process for recycling plastics but there are many different ways plastics can be recycled.
Before I retired the company I worked for was researching ways to convert the plastic waste back into the basic chemical compounds they originated from. At that point there wasn’t...
