My cruise quit working today. If I turn it on it displays "CRUISE" on the dash but only if I'm stopped. Soon after it's starts rolling the cruise shuts off. At first I was thinking it was a wheel speed sensor but the ABS light isn't on and I've confirmed the light works. The only code I'm getting is "inoperative watchdog inhibit" Code 73. I can't find any useful info on Code 73.

It stopped working on the way to work and when I went to lunch the Electronic Throttle Control light came on. Turned out to be the accelerator position sensor. I disassembled it, cleaned everything that looked like a contact point for electricity, put it back together and reinstalled it. After relearning/resetting it to the truck the light went out and it's been working fine sense but still no cruise.

A couple of months back I replaced the brake pads and fluid. I removed the fluid with a vacuum pump and the reservoir was never empty, no air ever entered the system. I really don't think this is an issue but it is related.

I've done a lot more work on the truck over the past 4 months but the above seems to be the most relevant.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Got the cruise working. While checking speed sensors I found the front sensor cable unplugged. For some reason the connector from the new front hub isn't latching to the harness. It's nothing some electrical tape won't hold together.
