Not many people know them but they do really nice shocks. Here in Socal they're known because King of the hammer stuff and other sanctioned competitions around. they're local to me like King, fact their factories are close to each other around 10-15 min away. I've had their 2.5 stuff in my FJ and they did great. Beat the crap out of them for a lot of miles, and when i sold my FJ, i sold the CO and rear shocks for $1000 that i used to finance the next set, which by then was Icon :)

A shop called Four wheel Diversified Quoted Fox 2.5 front 2.0 rear over $3400.
Way too much. I paid (i think!) $1800 for my Fox 2.5 with adjusters. And I have the 2.0’s in the back. Those are roughing $300.
That must be a installed price right? Still a little high to me.
I had the Fox 2.0’s in the front before I switched to the 2.0’s
The 2.0’s are great! My biggest complaint was they’re not visible unless the steering wheel is turn all the way left or right. But huge improvement over rancho or Bilstein. The 2.0’s are soft when driving slow, but firm if driving fast.

You're in good hands OP, most of us posting have either 6112's, Kings, Fox , or Icon, You can't go wrong with either option, it'll really come down to how hard you want to run the truck, and what colors do you want people to see down there when they stare at it. Now, you could be the one showing us Radflo :)

Not trying to sell you on the 2.0 but they are very good, but you get what you pay for and the 2.5’s are better if you use them and want to pay for the look. I do have my old ones in my garage if you’re interested. I do not think they need to be rebuilt, but the insurance of having it done is only $75 each from Fox. But that’s all most likely moot, because shipping $ usually kills the deal!
Every once in a while check Craigslist or the forum and they’ll show up for sale.

Next time I go down to SoCal I’ll send you a message. I’d like to check out your truck! I grew up there and moved away a couple years ago.
Let me know and if you have some extra time we can organize a quick run around Big Bear or Joshua Tree or Ocotillo/Anza Borrego etc :)

A wall mount sure. Love those things makes the job super easy. The typical "insert auto parts store here" rentals I've seen some bad things when one of those bolts eventually fails from wear/fatigue. Usually fairly safe, but you start compressing some stiff springs in those things and it gets real scary real fast once you do some math lol.

I have never used a wall mount - those would be nice. Always the other type that you describe.
Worse thing I have ever seen or had happen was the older style could slide around if you didn't tighten them evenly.

No different than a High lift jack ya hear all the horror stories about. If you use it correctly and are careful you don't usually have the accidents ya hear about. Used both for years successfully .

I've read this thread and it interests me as I'm looking to replace my shocks in the summer. This is my drive it til the wheels fall off vehicle. driving a 2014 with about 115000 km (80 000 mi) so I recently did some maintenance: sparkies, rear dif and brakes. I'm doing the maintenance in stages so the next stuff coming up is: coolant flush, transmission fluid change and shocks.

The shocks are riding stiff and I can tell they are wearing down. Do I need to replace both front and rear? I've got the V6 so would the Ranchos be too much for the lighter engine?

The Ranchos would be better ride since I can control the stiffness, am I wrong?

They should be ok, if anything you’ll get a little more than 2” lift, lol the Hemi weights around 485-500lbs, while the Pentastar weights around 325-350lbs. replace in pairs. with 80k miles i'll replace all 4.

Driving feels a bit weird if your front and rear are damping at significantly different rates, but I don't think there's really a safety concern. More likely if one end is worn out so is the other end so that should be the factor which suggests replacement.

The v6 might not be much lighter than the V8, since the V6 is an OHC engine it has a lot more material in the heads than the OHV V8 does.
