2025 Pickup Market Gets a Big Shake-Up

Story by José Bossellini
1 min read

Jeep is making a significant push into the electrified landscape with the upcoming launch of the Gladiator 4xe, a plug-in hybrid electric version of its popular Gladiator pickup truck. This strategic move aligns with Jeep's broader commitment to sustainability.

The Gladiator 4xe will join Jeep's expanding electrified lineup, which already includes the Grand Cherokee 4xe, Wrangler 4xe, and the upcoming Wagoneer S. This demonstrates Jeep's dedication to offering a diverse range of electrified options to meet the evolving needs of consumers.

Drawing inspiration from the highly successful Wrangler 4xe, the Gladiator 4xe is expected to share a similar powertrain configuration and pricing structure. The Wrangler 4xe's robust hybrid system delivers an impressive 375 horsepower, making it a capable and efficient off-roader.

Jeep's decision to discontinue the V8 Wrangler in 2024 further underscores the brand's commitment to electrification. The Gladiator 4xe is poised to fill the void left by the V8 model, offering a compelling alternative for adventure enthusiasts seeking both performance and sustainability.

The Gladiator 4xe combines the ruggedness and off-road capabilities of the Gladiator with the benefits of electric power. This unique combination is expected to attract a wide range of consumers, from those seeking adventure to those prioritizing environmental responsibility.

MSN can't even get a simple puff piece right.

The Gladiator 4xe is poised to fill the void left by the V8 model, offering a compelling alternative for adventure enthusiasts seeking both performance and sustainability.

There was no factory V8 offered in the Gladiator, ever.

There's no "big shake up". Gladiator is an also ran in the pickup world in the best of years, and the best of years are history. Typical media hype for a non event.
