My thrid brake light is just not cutting it as far as illuminating my bed at night. Yeah it's decent but far from great. I'm looking for something much brighter and don't mind drilling into the bed's side walls if it's gonna' give me what I want. I have the Reflex Spray On Truck Liner ATM [HERE] and no bed cover with the RamBox, so something that's gonna' hold up to the elements is important.

Has anyone added [additional] bed lighting or gone a similar route?

Recommendations?

I just bought some LED strips from ebay. Still need to hook them up, but they are mounted with double side tape

I like the idea of an LED bar for the bed at night. This is something I may have to look into.

You can go to Autozone or similar retailer and pic up a couple self adhesive 12" strips, stick em up and wire them into the factory bed light.

It's what I plan on doing. Even 4 strips still won't add enough 'draw' to cause any issues.

I ordered a ton of led strips from the same place Luke did
I ordered 6-10" strips, 2-24" strips and a 4ft strip for $18 shipped
So far I've only gotten 1 of the 2ft strips in the mail but it seems like good quality and ha 3m tape on it. They forgot to send the other 2ft strip but are takin care of it
I plan on mounting the 4ft strip in the lid of my girlfriends tool box and a 2ft strip on either side of the bed (maybe a 10" strip on either side to the rear of the bed)
Im doing 2-10" strips on either side of my dads big horns bed like my brothers-

Here's the one strip I've gotten so far

If you're speaking of THESE then there's no way on god's earth I'm paying just shy of $300.00 for bed lights.

Especially not for something I can grab on eBay for about 1/4 the price that does the same thing.... and looks near identical.

I love Mopar products [for the most part] but damn they know how to screw you.... without foreplay.

I put two Red 60" strips of LED's in the bed of my truck. They provide "mood" lighting but they are really not real fuctional if your looking for "real" light. Pictures by pullya - Photobucket
