I'm wanting to paint the stock rims on my '98 Ram 1500 black. Does anyone have any recommendations on paint type/brand?

No powder coating. Is plasti dip a DIY thing?

No problem, stuff peels right off if you don't like it or mess up so no worries on screwing up or not liking it

I would really give this stuff a try ecspecially with the price of it.i did my rims, bumpers, grille, steps, emblems, a pillars and the only one to do tail lights and 3rd brake light. Stuff is amazing and you will get hooked on it

if you want a flat or matte look plasti dip, if you want a gloss look you will have to try regular paint

plasti dip is not a tint...no light will shine through if you paint your tail lights with it.

sorry bud but i have proof that it does... now its a very light coat but yes it works

so why not just use a vht nightshades or tint....has to look much better than a blotchy light coat of plasti dip

yea trust me i was very nervous about doing it but it worked out pretty great... and i have gotten pulled over a few times and no cop has said anything because you can still see the red in the reflector and it lets out a good amount of light

I always hear about this plasti dip. Where can I get some at? Is it in a spray can and how much do I need for all four of my wheels?

You can get plasti dip at your local hardware store, it's in a spray can. I picked up 4 cans when I did my wheels, but I had a little extra.
