Hey guys I am deciding on just Tuners to put on my Christmas list with the Airlift 1000 bags. I really like the Bulldog and had a few questions.

The info it shows on the GPS looking unit screen is pretty much what my truck already tells me can I have installed and ready to go without that unit hooked up?

How will this effect my towing?

I plan on going with the 87 Octane setting will I still see an increase?

Thank you for your taking the time to answer my questions and convincing me about tuners after 4 threads lol.

Dude, just go with the Diablosport with the Hemifever tune. Bully Dog was trying to charge fees for updating tuners that were bought used, so send your money to someone who isn't trying to screw their customers. Plus, the Hemifever tune blows the BD out of the water. Yes, the BD canned tunes are a little better than the canned Diablo, but for just a little more money you can get the Intune with HF on it and have a better tune. To answer your question about leaving the unit out, yes you can load the tune in truck and remove the tuner

Yes you can load the tune then disconnect the tuner. It will help with towing because it will hold the gears longer so the trans isnt constantly searching for a gear. You should see a gain with the 87 tune but I run the premium tune with a 180 thermostat with no problems. Runs great and shifts great. My truck runs way better than stock. Bully Dog quickly cancelled the extra charge for the 'hacking' fee for 2013 trucks.

I like my bullydog tuner. I don't leave it in either. I was tired waiting on Diablo tuner. 2014 ram is already out for Pete's sake.

Another vote for Bully Dog..i've had mine for about 3 weeks now running the 91 tune as well and absolutely LOVE IT. Then increase in power is very noticeable and driveabilty is greatly increased, no more gear hunting. Plus I've gained 1.8 MPG's. Can't wait to get my Vararam intake to go with it.

I'm waiting for a tuner that deletes torque management. there is one on the horizon, albeit a few months away.

There isnt any guarantee that any tuner will delete torque management. It is reported that the Diablsport may be tweaking torque management. I love my Bullydog, if you dont like waiting I say go for it.
