So I changed my wheel/tires over from the stock 17" to 20's. I've heard of people getting the TPMS all in a tiffy if they don't swap their sensors over. However the guy I bought them from was a member on here (gave me a deal, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to afford them) and he left the TPMS sensors in the package! woohoo they were picked up by the computer right away and syncing, even though the stock tires were in the back of my truck. It's been like somewhere between 2-4 weeks and all of the sudden the truck acts like it's loosing traction and kicking my gas pedal back a few times, and then acts like the ABS is working and kicks the brakes while I'm trying to stop! almost got too close to some people. Then after a few moments the truck acts like normal and several lights come on.

The ABS light, traction light, and brake light stay on. They go off after i turn the truck off, but the whole situation repeats itself again after driving a little bit. So I searched online and found that many people suggest it's the ABS sensors on the rear wheels, and I purchase these from the auto parts store and replace them, no dice. I return my truck to stock and uninstall the BullyDog tuner and head to the dealership. After 2-3 hours of sitting around annoyed, they told me it was the wrong wheel size, going from 17's to 20's, they said the sensors in the wheels are all tied in to the ABS and traction control, not just TPMS. They "reset" the computer to accommodate 20's and all is well.

I then went home and reinstalled the Bully Dog tuner and it's working like a charm. Gotta love it. I guess the tuner accommodates different tire sizes, but not different wheel sizes.

Some pics. Only have one with the old tires there. The first two are at the shop putting them on for me, since I didn't have lugs and it would be faster that way. I just threw in a pic of the truck hooked up to the boat for the fun of it. I think they look good together, and I'm glad I can use the truck like a truck sometimes. Although it's mostly for transportation and not working. Oh, and if anybody's curious that's with a blistein maxed out level. I might add .75 or 1" rear spacers eventually, but I don't know. seems level even with the boat behind it.

i've never seen of that being an issue, but makes sense with how everything is more and more computer controlled. Thanks for the info

Yea, I never thought it would be an issue either, just the overall tire size for calculating distance travelled. But, thought I would share since everything I googled showed up being either a rear ABS sensor or other sensor located in the transfer case or transmission.

I think they stick more because of the wheels, which are something like 20x9 with a - 10 offset. I'd have to check his for sale thread to be sure.

I definitely want some fender flares to match eventually, just can't justify it until after Christmas.

I imagine they would be inside without the off set. But I can't be sure. If you're on stock wheels you should be fine and within the fenders. But I'm not 100%
