I've decided that I want a body lift. What I can't decide on is whether I'll go with a 1.25" or a 3". From what I can tell the 1.25" is time consuming but not terribly difficult (I have a large air compressor and tools). I think I'd like a 3" but haven't been able to determine if it would require significantly more time or effort than a 1.25".

Anyone done both who could weigh in? I can't afford to pay to have it done and hate paying someone to do something I can do myself anyway.

I think they are about the same install. On PA's website they have install pdf's to look at. Hopefully you an find out. It's easy to do yourself so whatever way you choose you'll be happy.

body lifts are pritty strait forward. i have a 1.25 and had to get a larger cupler for my cold air intake so i imagin other then haveing mild fitment issues with aftermarket parts, which can be rectified, its pritty simple, go for it man

Thanks guys. Has anyone done this with flares installed? Will I have to break the adhesive loose from the bumper valance to install the lift? I'm oping there is a work around, don't really want to do that.

I was told the 1.25" is easier because some things do not need to be disconnected. Do not quote me on that as fact though. If your going to do it though and thing you want the 3" do it once and do it the way you want.

Don't know from experience, but I thought I heard something about having to exchange brake lines or something like that on 3" lifts.

No exchange needed on brake lines you add a spacer to the frame and brake line mount to keep them from stretching.

That's good to know. Do you have to mess with the steering shaft for body lifts?

Since you are even considering the 3 inch kit, that is what you need to go with. Bigger is better.
