Hi folks- looking to buy an 18' foot trailer to haul my 2400lb compact tractor plus another 2000lb of sod pallets etc- not hauling more than 5000lbs total. Any issues or recommendations with trailering etc with my '21 Laramie 1500 5.7 4x4 Sport etorque? Just clicked over 3600 miles so still breaking it in. This truck is my first Ram coming from '97 Toyo T100, wow.

Not an exact comparison as I have a 4th gen but I tow a 18ft car trailer plus a 4000lb tractor so should be close. You should have zero issues as far as power goes, and the same goes for braking as long as the trailer has working brakes. One thing you’ll definitely want to look into is some type of support for the rear suspension as the coil springs are very soft. If you don’t want to go all out with air bags and a onboard compressor, a cheaper and easier alternative are airlift 1000s. They slip inside your coil springs and fill in the spaces as the springs compress which greatly reduces squat and firms up the ride very well. Simply fill them up with 20-30psi before you hook up your trailer and your good to go.

You should be fine as far as power and tow ratings go. I would still load it up and get weighed, just to make sure you’re not exceeding rear axle or payload ratings.

I don't think you'll have a problem but I would invest in a weight distribution hitch
