I really want to do that but I want the least cab drone. I am currently running 4 inch tips 45ed on the bumper I'm just tired of the tip supports breaking...

If you're gonna test how far back you want it by cutting the piping, go buy a quick turn down piping to put on whenever you cut. The sound will be different with the exhaust heading to the ground rather than just straight out while under the truck.

Mines dumped over the axle and you can't see any piping at all.

Can you see any pipe?

Don't point it down. That's where you'll get the most drone and a muffle effect. Tilt it slightly to the side so the tip is pointing slightly out. It will be a little louder outside but zero drone inside.

The other thing that helps with drone is not cutting it straight across the pipe. go at an angle.

Mine doesn't really have a lot of drone....you feel more than hear at 65 mph, medium stereo volume covers it, but I have the biggest Magnaflow to stay quieter.....bigger would def bother my wife and lil girl.

how would i get the most drone out of this set up. my muffer has a hole the size of a dime in it. and i am thinking about putting a magnaflow with a tip pointing down over the rear axle.
