Factory Warranty Pricing and Options

Hi all

I did not buy the factory extended warranty at the time of purchase because I know I can buy it from any dealership, and often they will compete based on price. When I owned my Lexus, there were a few dealers that just about everyone used for the warranty purchase given the price they were offering. Are there global suggestions here at RF?

I am looking at the lifetime unlimited miles/years warranty option.

^^ thats where I got mine from. Got a hell of a deal too. I think it was like $2100 for my maxcare.....$100 deductible, on a truck over 12K but still in factory warranty (makes a BIG difference)

I did the same but just printed the quotes and brought it to my dealer. Even though he was shocked at how low the price was, he still would rather make $200-300 profit than to let me buy it somewhere else.

bought nthe factory extended warranty too.
I waited tho, My dealer wated 2500.00 for a 7yr/100k bumper 2 bumper 100.deduct.
I shopped around found it on line for 900.00 cheaper, printed it took it to my dealer, they said they couldnt match, so i got up and started walking, well they matched it.
do your homework on this.

I can't put myself 100% in your shoes! but here is why I am going this route. The factory 3/36 warranty is bumper to bumper, and that is the kind of protection I am after for the life of my truck. The maxcare warranty is $2100 and I figure one of my air suspension bags or if the Uconnect locks up then the warranty will pay for itself. I have a lot of bells and whistles on my rig so the peace of mind is worth the $$ to me.

Thanks for the above link. I plan on having this truck about 10 years about 120k then giving it to my son. Thats a sweet deal and peace of mind.

Not to mention only $275 for road hazard protection for 7 years!!
